Interviewing and Hiring
Post-award, a member of the Team Axiom Transition Team will reach out to you to discuss the process for transitioning to the new contract. This will occur as soon as possible after award once Team Axiom has met with
the USGS NGTOC customer to discuss the path forward.
In the meantime, you may want to do the following in preparation for joining Team Axiom:

Hang on to your most recent pay stub – You may need some information from your pay stub to complete the application process.
Make sure you have documents ready to prove your employment eligibility. Employment Eligibility Verification, Form I-9. The I-9 form is required to provide evidence of your eligibility to work in the United States. This documentation will not be required unless you accept employment. It will be required within three days of hire so now is a good time to make sure you have your required documentation. Social Security Card. This is required for payroll. If you do not have your card, you need to go to the social security office and request a new card. They will give you a printout verifying your number that we can use as documentation until you get your new card. Also, please bring your beneficiary’s social security number and date of birth.

Yes, we will honor your uninterrupted years of service. We realize many of you have a long history of support of the STSS mission and that losing those years of service would result in lower accumulation rates for benefit accrual. We will work with you and your prior employer to verify your service date and will use this “adjusted service date” for your benefit accruals and service awards. Team Axiom must receive documented proof of your service date from your current employer. You may be required to authorize this disclosure.
Yes, you will need to upload your current resume along with your employment application. Having access to your resume will greatly assist us in accurately assessing your qualifications against open positions .
Your offer can come from any of the Team Axiom members. There are several factors that determine which company will extend you an employment offer. We have made commitments to teammates and the Government that a specific portion of the work will be provided by each teammate. Regardless of which company extends you an offer, we believe you will be pleased with your total compensation package. We carefully selected our teammates to have similar values and a high standard of ethics as we do, and we worked together to ensure that our compensation program and benefits are comparable.
You will accept your offer of employment electronically through the same Team Axiom Employment site where you completed your application. You will receive an e-mail that informs you that your offer is ready and instructions for completing the offer process. This will also be the process for post-offer communication such as pre-employment drug testing and background check authorizations. If you have any questions at that time or need further assistance, please contact us at STSS@team-axiom.com.
We understand some incumbent employees may use the contract transition as a milestone to consider their own transition to retirement. We also understand that many of those who consider retirement may desire to continue to work on a part-time or intermittent basis. We do not know of any part time or intermittent jobs at this time; however, we may identify positions as we proceed through the transition. If positions are identified, you may be able to work part-time on Team Axiom; or have the opportunity to provide intermittent support to any of our contracts throughout the country. Please let us know if you are interested in further discussions about these programs. We will be happy to give you more information and discuss them with you.
In general, the positions should be similar to the former positions.
